        Started on Oct 29,07  These are pictures when piano arrived.

• Starting Restoration                                                       

Tracker bar hoses are hard as a rock.	I insert a drill so that the hardened rubber tubing can be cracked off with pliers without damaging the lead. Being very careful!	COMPLETE	Tracker Bar   Before & After

This is the Simplex pneumatic taken apart. All have been removed and will be rebuilt later in the restoration. The piano case will be stripped and finished first. The pneumatics split apart and cleaned.	Pouch and lifter disk installed. Then the two halves are glued together.	Pneumatics all assembled and hinges installed ready to cover.	All covered. The one laying on top is complete.  Not my favorite pass time.

 

When the cloth was removed I found that the wood was delaminating. This could be repaired but more than likely separate somewhere else in the future, so I will build 2 new pump bellows and reservoir.	Before
